Description
COVER : VERY GOOD, original sleeve with aging/foxing and small tear down from opening one side. Small split in bottom middle seam.
LABELS : VERY GOOD +, a few very light spindle traces. There is a mark the same size as the spindle hole that I think might have been done in the pressing factory, they missed the spot!. It is the same spot both sides which suggests they got the spindle hole punch in the wrong place.

THIS IS A VERY RARE AUSSIE EP FROM 'VARETTA DILLARD' ISSUED AROUND 1955 HERE. I HAVE DONE A BIT OF A RESEARCH ON THIS EP AND CAN'T COME UP WITH MUCH INFORMATION AT ALL. I CAN'T SEE THAT IT HAS EVER SOLD BEFORE ON THE NET, AND THE ONLY GOOGLED STUFF I COULD FIND WAS ANOTHER COPY ON '45CAT'. THE RECORD PLAYS SLIGHTLY MUFFLED OR DISTORTED, SO I SUSPECT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN PLAYED ON A WIND UP '78' PLAYER IN THE 1950's. THIS MIGHT HAVE DAMAGED THE SOUND SOMEWHAT. This is an AUSTRALIAN pressing on the FESTIVAL Label, Cat. Number : XP45-738
VINYL : GOOD +, the record is visually around VG+ with some very light hairlines, but when played it sounds a little muffled, distorted. You can still here it well but the audio has deteriorated somewhat due to (I believe) being played with a '78' gramophone needle. That's just my guess, I could be wrong though. It does not jump or skip and plays through cleanly on my gear. It would have been graded VG+ if not for the audio being poor.
