Description
"Tribute to the Cavern" compilation LP, with 8 recordings by the Beatles (side 2) and 8 recordings by various artists (side 1), in near-mint condition. Rarely played, safely stored away from light and dust for many years.
This custom-pressed album was available only at the Cavern Club in Mathew Street, Liverpool and was produced for the club by EMI to celebrate its rebuilding and the re-opening on 26 April 1984.
Contains some of the most famous recordings to emerge from the "Merseybeat" sound era. All original mono mixes.
Sleeve notes written by Tony Barrow who wrote the sleeve notes for a number of The Beatles’ early albums and EPs.
Vinyl : near-immaculate condition - some short barely visible scratch marks on side 2 but audio reproduction not affected.
Outer sleeve : near-immaculate conditon - a few minor creases and marks.
Inner sleeve : near-immaculate condition - some superficial staining.
