Picture sleeve 7" records are rarely released anymore. They gave way to CD singles, and then to streaming services. When they are released these days, it's usually to promote an artist's new music, and more of a novelty than anything else. But back in the 80s, a picture sleeve record was made to catch your eye in record stores, and to promote a single to radio stations. Up for grabs today is a pack of FIFTEEN vintage 80s picture sleeve singles!

We'll take a look at rock and pop acts in this deal. First up is Austrian new wave singer Falco, and his 1986 single "Emotional". One side is the N.Y. mix of that song, backed with the 'Continental Mix' of that same song. (Falco passed away in 1998.) Next we have the band The Escape Club, and their funky and rockin' track "Shake for the Sheik", from '88. Promo copy, so same song both sides. Then it's Alphaville, a German synth-pop band, and their 1986 hit "Dance With Me". Same song both sides (promo copy). Moving on to Wall of Voodoo (the band that had a big hit with the song "Mexican Radio"), they're here with "Do It Again", from '87. Promo copy, so same song both sides. Also from '87, we have the Hoodoo Gurus, and their track "Good Times". Members of The Bangles sang background vocals on this fun track. Another promo copy, so same song both sides.

Next up is Midnight Oil from Australia, and their 1987 hit "Dreamworld". Promo copy, same song on both sides. Then it's Peter Gabriel, and an awesome track from his 1986 pop and rock masterpiece titled 'So'. The track is "In Your Eyes", and it's here, and backed with the remix (titled the 'Special Mix'), which to me, makes a great song even better! The Art of Noise of collaborated with Tom Jones in 1988 and recorded the Prince song "Kiss". It's pop, rock, and techno...all at the same time! Promo copy, but with the 7" version on one side, and the track E.F.L. on the flipside. Next up is  guitar virtuoso Duane Eddy, produced by Art of Noise, and the great song "Spies", backed with "Rockabilly Holiday", (produced by ELO's founder, leader, and producer Jeff Lynne). We also have the synth-pop new romantic band ABC with their catchy song "When Smokey Sings", backed with "Chicago (Part 1)".

Next up is The Call, and the 1986 track "Everywhere I Go", promo copy, so same song both sides. R.E.M. is here with another song from '86, and it's a promo copy of "Fall On Me". (Same song on both sides.) The Psychedelic Furs are represented here today with the track "All That Money Wants". Promo copy, same songs both sides. Next is Sigue Sigue Sputnik, and their crazy track "Love Missile F1-11". Promo, so same song both sides. We'll end this listing with The Church. Their fantastic song "Under the Milky Way" is here, and backed with "Musk", a track that was previously unreleased.

Each one of these were never played by me. Single records were usually made with a fragile vinyl and could be scratched with only one or two spins. A couple of these have light surface marks on them, but most are shiny and clean. The sleeves are showing signs of wear, but almost all are still looking really good. Picture sleeve singles have become cool collector's items, pieces of rock and roll history, and really nice works of art. Grab this bundle of FIFTEEN singles today!
