" Les Felix 1983 "
* Rarely auctioned on eBay *
Radio Canada International RCI--581, 1983 original issue Promotional pressing Canada
Like the American Grammy Award and the Juno Award in Canada, the Felix Award was created and awarded (since 1979) to highlight and honour artists and their recordings....specifically in the Quebec music industry.
Never sold commercially, only a few hundred copies of this promo-only Radio Canada International release were pressed honouring 1983's recipients.....all were distributed to the artists, broadcasters and various industry insiders....making this one of the most elusive albums ever pressed that features Celine Dion.
* While sampler compilations were issued for a few other (but not all years) since the first edition in 1979, this is the only release by Radio Canada International (the others were independantly issued by ADISQ and distributed commercially by DisKade (Kebec-Disc).
