Description

VARIOUS “The Cool Scene Twelve New Ways To Fly”Jazz Compilation 1959 WB 1328 EX!

A truly remarkable 65 year old Lp in EXCELLENT condition. The vinyl looks pristine with no visible marks. The cover is entirely intact, no splits, losses, or tears. A slight hint of ring wear, tiny corner ding. Is a better original vintage copy available anywhere?

This compilation showcases tunes made by later important composers and arrangers for film and jazz (Don Ralke, Marty Paitch, Robert Prince) studio arrangers who where all over a vast amount of releases (Frank Comstock and Warren Barker), vocal groups the Smart Set and The Signatures), a world class Jazz flutist- Marty Wilson, A guitar ensemble, and Trombone ensemble and more. Cool in tone, and the epitome of beatnik jazz. As the liner notes end “ …the most refreshing, dynamic listening available. They’re vital, swinging, and rewarding”.
