Live at Disgraceland: From Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown LP
The first LP (still stoked that there were 2 in this shipment!) features the full live sets from The Dead Weather, The Kills and William Tyler from the Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown wrap party. This is a really beautiful piece of vinyl and it’s housed in a beefy sleeve, making it feel very special. The songs on here are fantastic and well-recorded of course.. this is Third Man Records after all.
The Raconteurs – Live at Irving Plaza April 7, 2006 LP
Next up we have the first ever U.S. show from Jack White’s band The Raconteurs, recorded in April 2006 in NYC. The LP is housed in a gatefold that features artwork inspired by the original show poster, and an incredible x-ray image of Teddy Roosevelt taken after he was shot while campaigning in 1912.
Everything about this LP feels special. Heavy duty packaging, beautifully colored vinyl, and of course this perfect show featuring a dozen boisterous tracks from The Raconteurs. To go along with the LP, Third Man also includes a small version of the poster that advertised the concert in New York, and later went on to inspire the artwork for this LP release.
Jack White/The White Stripes “Love Is The Truth” & “City Lights”
The final piece of vinyl in this box is the Love Is The Truth/City Lights 7”. Love Is The Truth was originally written for a Coca-Cola ad that aired once, in Japan, and was never available anywhere. City Lights is the only brand new track from Jack White’s recent Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016 compendium.
Third Man Records Pennant
The final item in the vault is this awesome silkscreened Third Man Records pennant, featuring a triple-cobra design that is reminiscent of a 45 adapter. This is going to look awesome on the wall next to the turntable.
