Description
VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR - PAWN HEARTS. This is an ORIGINAL USA EDITION from either 1971 or 1972 released by THE FAMOUS CHARISMA LABEL (distributed by BUDDAH RECORDS). There were 2 pressings of the first edition issued on BUDDAH: the one from 1971 had PINK CHARISMA labels and the pressing from the following year was on LARGE MAD HATTER label. US record companies had a tendency to press a large number of record covers when the album was released, and they continued to use initial run covers with subsequent pressings even if a label design was changed. Since the record is sealed - it`s impossible to tell which pressing is inside and relatively modest price for a vintage sealed edition of such cult album reflects that. If I could be sure that it`s a PINK CHARISMA pressing inside - the price would be twice as much. This is THE GATEFOLD VERSION, there were also single covers used for this edition. Once again - the record is sealed, brand new, it has a cut corner, but apart from that the cover looks great: no rubbing/ringwear, no yellowing, no dirt or stickers/sticker residue on it.
