VELVET ILLUSIONS-45-“Velvet Illusions” b/w “Born To Be A Rolling Stone”-Metro-Video Records #M-V-309-MONSTER and KILLERKOOL 1967 Los Angeles CALIFORNIA Garage-Punk…Most of you know the demented and DEADLY A side “Velvet Illusions” from the Mega comps over the years…if not, it is one of the most cryptic and ULTRAKILLER tracks-Great badazz and arrogant lead vocal, the COOLEST lyrics, eerie Vox Continental organ in the mix with Asian “Help I’m A Rock” guitar riffs abound…cryptic lead guitar break on the fade…B side is more standard garage-punk; not killer like A side but still cool with a wigged-out duo cryptic guitar/Vox Continental organ break… …as you all probably know main-man, leader, and lead singer of the band was Patty Hearst’s boyfriend STEVE WEED who also wrote the MONSTER A side. One of the coolest Records. EVER...
Condition: Record is almost MINT-Minus... really near-PERFECT copy; has some slight but obvious background noise on both sides due to pressing NOT condition; I have seen 2 copies in MINT shape like this that have the same thing…the record is literally unplayed.
Label has a number written in black marker both sides (see photo)
