Velvet Underground and Nico -Andy Warhol Presents...- Verve V6/5008

VH1 keeps playing "100 Greatest This" and "Rock's 100 That" and I just keep rolling my eyes and shaking my head. Obviously, best band= the Velvets; greatest singer= Lou Reed; most important woman in rock= Nico; greatest song= "Heroin"; of course, #1 album of all time= this one right here, Binky. Basically, any good rock'n'roll music of the last 30 years is directly traceable to this band and this album. More influential on the shape of modern music than the Beatles, and responsible for far less crap. If you don't own it yet you've got some SERIOUS problems. Correct them. This is the stereo second issue (no torso) with a reasonably intact (small tear separating top but nothing missing) banana. Price tag on front, 3 4” seam splits and ring wear. Disc is VG+ with a few scratches, none that are lethal.
