Description
This is the original MONO VERSION with the upside down image of Eric Emerson on the rear sleeve. This image was only on the first pressing of the album and was removed when Emerson threatened to sue. Catalogue number V-5008. Beautiful thick vinyl. Gatefold sleeve. It must be noted that the LP was original recorded and mixed in Mono, the stereo being artificially created. The Velvets and Sterling Morrison rate the Mono version to be far superior.
Considering the scarcity and age of this item (46 years old) I would rate this album as very good. Very few of these albums still exist and they are not going to be getting any easier to find.
Please not the following:
The vinyl has a few light visible scratches resulting in some surface noise ad crackle mainly on the B side, but no jumps or sticks and I think it still sounds fabulous.
The cover is also in good condition considering age. See photos. Banana has been peeled. As a young man at the time I could not resist. Oh well.
Very rare and Happy Bidding.
