Description

Here's an original US FIRST PRESSING of THE VELVET UNDERGROUND'S SELF TITLED LP in MONO.  It is one of the most important albums in Rock, and was a commercial failure upon release.  There were so few sales of this LP at the time that finding any copy now is an amazing find.  They can range in price from $300- $4500. depending on condition, and if it's Stereo or Mono, torso or no torso, and if the song Sunday Morning is listed...  Original estimates for the original mono pressing is about 12,000, and stereo pressings sold around 45,000 copies from 1967- 1970.  That was 50 years ago, so when everyone realized how amazing this LP is, the value started to skyrocket.

This copy is a rescue-- This was found stuffed in another sleeve with a different record in a box of records I bought at an estate sale. I am just grading this visually. It has some scratches and should be cleaned. I am grading this a VG.  I am starting the auction at $1.99 to let the buyer decide for themselves what this is worth to them.
Rare, first pressing in mono. One of only 12,000 ever produced.

COVER---  NO COVER,   VINYL---  VG

PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER LPS FOR SALE NOW ON EBAY.  I AM POSTING SOME VERY COOL RECORDS.

I just listened to the complete album 3/26/2020. When played on my record player there are absolutely no skips but there is noise. The record really needs to be professionally cleaned which I think should eliminate a good amount of noise.
