Description
Like most labels, Atlantic Records sent out promotional copies of their records to radio stations. A very small percentage of those albums were monaural pressings, now coveted by collectors and music fans alike. Mono commercial issues of most albums (at least those recorded in stereo) were phased out by 1968, and now these promo-only monaural versions are even harder to find.
Original promo-only mono pressing of the Velvet Underground's Loaded album. This is a white label issue on the Atlantic-distributed Cotillion 9034.
White label record has some light marks but plays near-mint.
Cover is a stock stereo one with the promotional monaural sticker as shown. It's in fairly rough
condition as the top and bottom seams are split all the way across. It has overall shelf and ring wear. It might be possible to remove the promo sticker and attach it to a clean, vintage cover.
