PLEASE NOTE - this week my auction listings, will look slightly different! This is because I have absolutely LOADS of items to list, and this is the quickest way to list them - whilst still retaining ALL the very important detail on condition, rarity etc (see all details below!). RARITY:- Super rare! Barely ANY copies sold on release, and this LP is now almost IMPOSSIBLE to locate! And this LP really is the PROPER UK 1st Pressing - and the first time this LP was EVER given a FULL UK release! Originally it was released in the UK in 1967 - but that release only had a QUARTER of the proper cover, and looked VERY plain and drab. But for the FIRST TIME EVER in 1971 - Verve / MGM gave this LP its fully deserved FIRST EVER FULL UK RELEASE - with the COMPLETE COVER! However clearly MGM hadn't worked out whether they were going to have a 'peelable banana' on UK issues, so the FIRST 2000 COPIES ONLY came with an imported U.S. 1st Press Cover + peelable banana! Eventually Verve must have decided against this - as all later UK copies, simply had a re-production printed Banana instead. AND DONT UNDERESTIMATE THE RARITY OF THIS LP - only the FIRST 2000 UK And you can actually PROVE the record is 100% correct for this 'PROPER' UK 1ST PRESSING and cannot be swopped or changed for a later UK record! Because ALL 'Earliest' UK 1st Press records have FLAT labels, A1/B1 matrixes, and MOST IMPORTANTLY 111 & 112 mother & stamper codings (all later copies had higher numbers!). SO HAVE NO DOUBT! This is one of the FIRST 2000 'PROPER' UK 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE - and is now almost IMPOSSIBLE to locate! BARELY ANY UK 'PROPER' 1ST PRESSINGS WERE EVER MADE LIKE THIS (2000 ONLY) - AND IT IS ONE OF THE RAREST VELVET UNDERGROUND LPs EVER MADE!

RECORD GRADING:- The record is in absolutely SUPERB condition and is VERY bright & shiny looking indeed! It has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, only 2 or 3 absolutely ULTRA light surface traces, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS SUPERB! The record plays with NO pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, NO distortion, NO hiss, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL! The record must grade Excellent+ if not better! SUPERB RECORD!
SLEEVE:- The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Peelable Banana' Gatefold Cover is in BRILLIANT condition! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear (side words PERFECT!), NO splits, only VERY slight corner wear, NO rips, NO tears, NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL (virtually NONE!), NO sticker marks, barely ANY yellowing AT ALL, NO sticker tears, a small repair to the banana (see picture), barely ANY creases AT ALL (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO annotations, and NO writing! The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL! Even the inside of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing, NO grubbyness, barely ANY yellowing, and NO writing! The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better - and is a very VERY nice cover indeed!
