Description
Up for auction is a copy of the debut LP by The Velvet Underground & Nico, released in 1967 on Verve, cat no V6 5008. This copy is a stereo first edition Canadian pressing, with the Eric Emerson torso on the (non-gatefold) front cover (unlike the US pressing, where the photo appears on the rear). The cover is in its original shrinkwrap, and even includes the original price sticker on the shrink.
Condition: there are a few marks on the vinyl, some ugly, some less so. But it generally sounds OK, I didn’t notice any jumps or sticks on my deck. Labels are clean. As you’d expect from an example still in its shrink, the cover is immaculate; I see no wear at all on the cover, which would be a giveaway sign of a “re-shrink”. There is a minor corner “ding” or two, but otherwise this is an amazing example. G+ / EX (vinyl / cover).
