Description

Verve Records V^-5008, this is a stereo pressing of the seminal self titled debut LP from The Velvet Underground & Nico.   Gatefold jacket - with the dancer airbrushed out of the photo on the back cover - is NM/EX, showing some minor handling.   Banana is still intact on the front cover, although there is a tear that goes through 3/4 of the stem, in addition to a second tear through the middle which basically cuts the banana in half.  Both tears were probably made while peeling it off, but it was closely lined up when reapplied by the original owner.  It still looks  nice, despite the fact that the center tear is visible.  LP is a shiny and clean EX as well, with just a few small paper hairlines and minor surface marks visible.  Playback is solid throughout, with some bits of crackle during quieter interludes.  Blue labels with silver print are crisp with no spindle wear.   A nice copy of this scarce psych Lp and Andy Warhol collectible.  Buyer pays $7.50 shipping in the US, $18.00 airmail overseas.  I accept Paypal & US Postal Money Orders.  Thanks for looking and good luck!
