'THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO' ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS MONO GATEFOLD WHITE LABEL (WEST COAST) PROMO LP From 1967, Verve Records V-5008.  Here is an absolute HOLY GRAIL that I really hate to part with, but....The sleeve is VG:  has some light ringwear, the banana has been peeled, it features the Emerson torso on the rear which was airbrushed out of subsequent pressings, the spine is in VERY good shape & completely intact, as are the seams.  The LP is VG+:  labels are spotless aside from the previous (original) owner's crossing out of 'NOT FOR SALE' on both label sides (still easily visible up close) & the LP has just a handful of very superficial marks which do not affect play (it sounds AMAZING & I've only played it once in 10 years of ownership)-it still retains its surface lustre beautifully.  Comes with the original Verve inner sleeve (but the LP will be in another plain sleeve).  Virtually no wear at all on the inside of the gatefold.  The matrix #s are as follows:  Side 1-'V-5008-S-1/MG-558-REV' & Side 2-'V-5008-S-2/MG-559.'  This is the WHITE label pressing from the West Coast which is MUCH rarer than the Yellow labels from the East Coast.  Absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to find one of these, let alone in this condition!  Will ship internationally-standard USPS rates (& VERY carefully packaged).  Thanks for looking & good luck!
