THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO-SELF TITLED (1967, Verve)

Condition of Cover: VG. SS, complete along top edge neatly repaired with clear tape, SS along bottom edge 5" neatly repaired with clear tape. Some SW, thin paper scuff to banana. Banana peeled, no peel. Small seam crack on inside of gatefold when it's folded out, nick line along left edge, some EW. See pics. 

Condition of Record: F+/G-. Edgewarp along one area of record, DNAP on my turntable. Visually, both sides have many many hairlines. Side I has a feelable scratch through the first 4 tracks that affects play (read about it momentarily). I listened to this LP on my Gemini turntable using a Grado cartridge. The good news: Side II, the playback was a low VG/high VG- with frequent light background surface noise. There were 2 quick skips, one toward the beginning of "There She Goes Again" and toward the beginning of "The Black Angel's Death Song."  Side I has a feelable scratch that affects the first 4 tracks significantly with numerous skips in each of those 4 tracks. "Run Run Run" played ok, VG-. "All Tomorrow's Parties" played ok low VG, but had a quick skip in the middle of it. It is very hard to determine how this will play on your turntable, but this is how it played on mine.

Additional Information: Original MONO. V-5008. Eric Emerson's torso upside down on the back side of the cover. Gatefold. Very rare on mono.

Grading Scale: My grading scale is as follows:

SEALED, M-, NM, NM-, EX+, EX, EX-, VG+, VG, VG-, G+. I do not generally sell anything lower than G+, unless it is very rare. My records are visually and play graded to check for accuracy. My VG+ should have little to no surface noise according to my turntable using a Grado cartridge, and my EX gradings are equivalent to Goldmine's VG++ grading, just more descriptive within the grading spectrum of VG++. My M- is open unplayed. My NM and NM- gradings are reserved for items opened once and played. I generally default to VG if the cover has any noticeable ringwear, surface wear, or seam splits.
