VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO VERVE V6-5008 NM LP WARHOL, us press, 0701 back corner #, ex+ cover with light rubs, nm lp, "v5008 mg558-1-1-1 / v6 5008 mgs559 1-1-1 prc 61" matrix etches! silver and black labels, slightly tanned white paper inner sleeve! (mono or stereo issue with this particular copy is unclear, but likely a half and half! more info below.)
appears to be the '78 pressing: Verve Polydor Polygram V6-5008, 1978
Side 1: V-5008 MG-558-1-1-111-P PRC
Side 2: V5008 MG-559-1-1-11-
- Stereo
- No gatefold cover with printed banana and "THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO" printed in upper left-hand corner
- Back cover with airbrushed Emerson, credits, and New York label address
- Black/silver T Verve label
- Some copies mispressed with both sides mono! (have played to see if this copy is mono or stereo, but i can't tell for sure. "femme fatale" on side one seems mono all centered in the mix, while "european son" on side two sounds a bit separated in the mix, louder rhythm guitar to right in beginning, then later, louder lead to the left. since etch on side one is "v" and side two is "v6" i believe this to be a half mono and half stereo pressing. side one mono, side two stereo. interesting, right?!!)

Vinyl grading is usually based on the Goldmine standard and is as follows:
“SS” Still Sealed – For the collector that demands nothing but perfection.
“M” Mint - a near perfect, or unplayed record.
“NM” Near Mint - in factory fresh condition, like new.
EX+ - close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and demanding collector.
EX - a used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear.
VG+ - There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility a few skuffs and/or light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.
VG - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise, still plays great.
Good - In the record world, "Good" is not good! From here on down, we're talking about beat-up records!
