Description


VELVET UNDERGROUND AND NICO   same     Verve V-5008 RARE original '67 MONO mix release of their first LP. With the image of actor Eric Emerson upside down on back cover photo. (Emerson threatened to sue unless paid for the use of his face, so Verve airbrushed him out from subsequent copies. )  Most of the peel-off banana is intact- the stem and bottom tip are missing. See photo.                     Jacket Grade: VG+. Some wear to outer gatefold.Top seam partially split. Small "X" written on white area of back.              
Record Grade: VG-. Visually, there are lots of light surface scratches and a few deep scratches, BUT it plays amazingly through at VG+, with very minor surface noise. Cleaned on the VPI.
