s/t LP - STEPPENWOLF (ABC/Dunhill DS-50029)  

Original 1968 U.S. stereo LP. All-time CLASSIC hard rock/blues-rock/psych debut album from JOHN KAY & company, starring "Born To Be Wild," of course. In concept this LP has much in common with The Doors first album, tho it doesn't have quite the musical or lyrical vision & depth of the latter. That said, it's still a GREAT record, deserving of it's revered status, certainly. STEPPENWOLF LPs in general (& this record in particular) are almost always found in 'hammered' (or worse) condition. This copy, however, is EXTRA SWEET, all the way around - cover still in original tight shrink, meaning the fragile silver foil cover is very well preserved; it is practically never seen like this. In addition, the vinyl is also in FABULOUS shape, looks/sounds SUPER. Easily the best copy of this 47-year old iconic album that I've had in many decades.

Disc = EX+ to NEAR MINT- (HIGH GLOSS - plays TERRIFIC, w/ NO distortion, NO groove wear, virtually NO pops or clicks & barely even the slightest hint of even background noise, which is hardly noticeable in between tracks, let alone during the songs; a SUPER listen; slight dish warp, not affecting play) 

Cover = see pix; in SHRINK; very tiny crunch/ding in front upper right corner; small chip in front lower right corner; tiny wear in bottom right corner seam edge, where tiny piece of shrink has split; small chip & lite wear in middle of bottom seam; spine = A-1; these flaws are very, very minor, it's a DANDY looking cover; any questions?, please ask
