We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Thee quite RARE 1961 ((MONO)) first pressing in thick cover and on the obscure CANDID Records label...This is Memphis Slim's first outing on Candid for which he gathered his own men. He showed up with William "Jazz" Gillum, the searing harmonica player who hadn't recorded in many years and whom Memphis had found in glum poverty. Also in the entourage was the sonorous Arbee Stidham, a guitarist and singer for whom Slim had also been a major source of encouragement.
Here Memphis Slim pays tribute to Big Bill Broonzy, who first appointed Memphis as his pianist at the beginning of his career and encouraged him to find his own musical identity. This blues filled album also includes the music of Leroy Carr, Cow Cow Davenport, Curtis Jones and others.

CONDITION: The cover: Solid, completely, the THICK cover having only a name near far side of spine on BACK cover, otherwise top copy "EX" (Excellent) with the front being more closer to M-  

The vinyl: both sides are vastly clean, a couple visual hairlines, VG++ plays GREAT ... both Candid labels are clean 

keeper!
