Description

A NEAR MINT (EX SHOP STOCK) COPY OF THIS ULTRA RARE KENYAN 78 ON THE CMS LABEL

ADERO ONANI

PITA NYANGO  b/w  BLASIO OPITO

(Both Sung in Juluo)

The Capitol Music Store was based in Nairobi and issued records from the late 50's and into the 70's. This is one from a batch of 78s we have come across, and these 78s are very rare !!

I believe this 78 was actually pressed in the sixties and it is manufactured from a very hard vinyl or composite rather than shellac, but they are still quite fragile.

More records (45's) can be found on the CMS label ON KENTANZAVINYL DOT COM

I CAN FIND REFERENCE TO ONLY ONE OTHER RECORD BY ADERO ONANI SUNG IN LUO

3/HB 68 Adero Onani Makarius Odhimabo/Ombuya again on the CMS label
