VERY RARE - DOO WOP-THE FIVE STARS-"LET'S FALL IN LOVE/ WE DANCED IN THE MOONLIGHT" - TREAT RECORDS - 1955

This is an original recording released by Treat Records in 1955 in New York City. The matrix numbers in the deadwax are: T-1-45 M for "Let's Fall In Love" and T-2-45 M for "We Danced In The Moonlight". This record last sold in 2012, and prior to that in 2005, so don't expect to see it again soon other than as a repro. The record has been in my personal collection since the 1970's.
There isn't a lot known about New York-based Treat Records. The label was started in March, 1955 by Murray Katz. There were only 7 releases on this label on both 45 and 78 rpm. This recording is the most legendary, rare, valuable, and highly sought after of all the 7 releases by and far. The label folded sometime in 1955, and was only in existence for a few months. This is truly a mysterious and sought after label. Many believe the Inspirators on Treat and Old Town records are the same group as the Five Stars.
