We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. RARE and sought after....British Original first pressing from over 30+ years ago on the limited AVATAR label...was not distributed well or around but for seemingly a minute...

The hardrock/progressive edged band "LIMELIGHT" and their only album is about as hard to find as they come... we haven't seen a copy in (many) years ...

Some collectors (like us) will dig the demo quality ('the charm') ... like a lot of bands there wasn't any money for a producer but still contains a cool selection of songs.

Hailing from the very core of England, in the Nottinghamshire, Limelight were practitioners of a good hard rock during their heyday, being another interesting obscurity to the copious UK NWOBHM scene.

As it seems the band's origins come from an early epoch, 1967, odd fact that would make Limelight older than Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath, for instance (!) ... Anyhow, they released this first s/t album by means of the small Avatar Records & Screenworks label), featuring Mike Scrimshaw (bass, 2nd lead guitar, taurus pedals, keyboard and vocals),  Glenn Scrimshaw on guitar (and Mellotron) & Pat Coleman on the drums.

This album is one of those ignored little gems the NWOBHM left, including pretty high quality songwriting, in songs like "Going home", the bluesy "Mamma (I don't wanna lose ya)", and two long cuts with progressive direction, "Man of colours" and "Don't look back" .

"Limelight" is the only aural testament left by this very interesting band. While landing an original copy these days is not easy and usually expensive, you might get lucky by throwing a price on it and see what happens...

CONDITION: The cover: Very fragile UK production is highly collection worthwhile "EX" (excellent) to M-  and has neen handled well over the years ... no split seams, bright colors, no problems other than slight indentation from the vinyl inside, but thats strictly picking

The vinyl: all shiny over both sides, M- looks very clean and plays top level ... with clean AVATAR labels
