About This Record. Here is another of a few VERY very SPECIAL 45rpms or 33 1/3 rpms that are 7" from my collection. This is an original copy of The Mothers of Invention 45rpm featuring How Could I be such a fool and Help I'm a Rock . . . in STOCK STOCK MONO blue label original USA Verve Records format with the usual drill hole in the vinyl but NOT the label (although reasonable minds might differ--see photos), but overall the drill hole in the trail off edge of the label is a minor intrusion since NO known stock copies exist that have no drill hole, and promo copies are relatively common and obtainable as these things go. If you have a stock copy without a drill hole copy, please let me know! Extraordinarily rare and sought after, and some believe it does not exist. But it does Exist Yes Yes and Highly Recommended. This is a Top copy that has some factory vinyl discoloration muddy-ness in the shine from the usual not pristine Verve Records pressing.
Looks Good Plus to Very Good but plays with some background noise, so Very Good Minus (VG-); but labels are CLOSE to perfect without a drill hole, although the drill hole IMHO missed the label, but I let you be the judge so see my photos. Please see details below and PLEASE CHECK my Feedback which shows you my grading, Cover/Vinyl, of other LPs I have recently sold and what the lucky people who are now taking care of my vinyl thought about our experience. The photos of the labels or cover list the songs and any possible details about the labels.
VERY SORRY for my Reserve price, but this is one of the most expensive slabs of vinyl I have ever purchased, and you will likely look the rest of your life to find a nice looking copy that plays the same. I do not want to sell it, and I might take it off ebay and not sell it if somebody does not bid and meet my reserve price after my financial crisis ends . . .but don't cry if you don't meet my reserve and I decide to keep this as I love the VU.
No Worries, I offer full refund including shipping both ways for USA and foreign buyers in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase. This is the Real Deal and it Comes hand-cleaned on my VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning machine (hate those automated 17's) and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren. And two plastic sleeves for moisture protection (for you and me).
Cover Condition: There never was a PS or other cover for this 45rpm, but I include the original plain white (now brown) paper inner sleeve that came with this when I purchased it long ago. Please See all the Photos I took. I didn't take them for fun and frolic. But you won't find a picture of the cover because I don't have one and there never was one.
Vinyl Condition: Very Good Minus (VG-) lots of paper marks and light stylus scuffs, but plays OK but with NOTICEABLE background noise for some of each side; I just played it on my La Luce Alba turntable and Benz LP cartridge. No major problems like skips, sticks, jumps, or repetitive problems. See above detailed description of this 45rpm. Keeper copy.
Labels: Very Good PLus labels. Light ring wear from age wear/soiling; but the drill hole missed the label, and there are very few copies that have no obvious drill hole in the label. I hate to see this go. Please see photos of all labels)
Inserts: Comes with the original white (now brown) plain paper inner sleeve that accompanied this monster 1960's garage rarity, BUT No worries, this come cleaned on my VPI Record Cleaning Machine, but it does come in a new paper innersleeve (so the old dust does not reattach! OH my gosh!!.
Packaging. I clean all vinyl on my V.P.I. Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original. I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least one insert stiffener, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” to help facilitate a safe passage.
