Description
About This Record. Please see my detailed comments about the Cover/Record/Labels below. This is a very rare original South African copy of The Who's first LP from 1965 entitled "My Generation" that was first released in the UK on Brunswick Records, and then this copy for sale was released in a very very small pressing in South Africa in 1965 or thereabouts also on Brunswick Records in a flipback sleeve. The labels and cover are slightly different than the UK version (e.g., the cover has no catalogue number top left corner of cover).

Cover Condition: Very Good (VG) cover. Four (4) inch split in the middle of the top seam of the cover; a two (2) inch split in the bottom seam; one (1) inch split on spine. Some creasing and small tears, some light scruffing on the flipback sleeve. Small writing on back of the flipback cover "Riddell" in blue pen.

Vinyl Condition: Very Good (VG) vinyl. The vinyl has some light scuffs and noticeable paper marks, and two or three stylus marks on each side. Those are light except for one "feeler" scratch on Side One over the first three songs that makes some repetitive clicks here and there. But for that scratch, the LP plays strong VG+ with many EX moments . . . just some very light background noise here and there and between tracks that is difficult to hear given the blasting sonics. No skips or jumps or sticks of course.
Labels. Excellent Plus (EX+) labels (light spindle marks; no writing or damage!). Please see photos of all labels.
Inserts: Comes with original white (now very brown) paper inner sleeve, but no worries, this comes cleaned in a new rice-paper type sleeve after cleaning (see below).
Packaging. I place the vinyl in a new sleeve after cleaning it on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Cleaning Machine from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage.
