Description
A 1958 1st pressing WBg of Vienna Holiday, played by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Hans Knappertsbusch. Recorded on the Decca label SXL 2016. The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition. It has 4 very fine and barely visible marks/scratches on side1 and 3 on side2. But they really are thin and certainly not feelable it is hardly worth noting, but were to be accurate. The black/silver labels are perfect and unmarked. The fully laminated outer sleeve is in excellent condition, it has very slight laminate lift on the front cover spine edge, the opening edge is fine and not worn. The card has no tears in it except for a tiny bit of paper lift in the top left corner. On the rear of the sleeve someone had put a strip of sello tape on the bottom flip back and after I had removed it the flip back was intact and not lifted. There is still a bit of glue residue from the sello tape but this can be removed with the right solution. The inner sleeve is the original Decca stereophonic labelled paper/poly lined type and has no tears and is not worn on the edges. To sum up this is a very fine example of a very rare recording, and it is one of the earliest records that were produced on the SXL range in their first year of production in 1958.
