Description

VINCE LOVEGROVE Livestock/Rented room blues (AUSTRALIA) Pepper PRS 1002 (1972 - Written by John Bisset (pictured). Websites (as below and others) indicate Bon shares vocals, I can possibly hear it when the first time the line 'young farmer's festival' is sung and possibly mid way in the track there's a second vocal. Lovegrove (pictured) of course was a great mate of Bons who into'd him to AC/DC in Adelaide. This single issued by Max Pepper's tiny local label around the time Bon was living up in Aldgate in the Adelaide Hills. Apparently Bon moved down from Hemmings Farm in the hills to Norwood for a while in 1971 which isn't too far from Pepper Studios which are in Kent Town. Really hard to get solid info on this recording. Music is early 70s boogie rock and is pretty good. Very few copies of this single would have found their way outside of Adelaide.)

Visual grade:  disc (A side)  is around VG+ with odd light marks and scuffs only,  B side is around  VG

Visual grades for vinyl discs under strong light:

M      Mint condition. This means unplayed, with no marks on playing surface and label is as new. Older  records are extremely rare in this condition. M-     Either unplayed, with minimum of scuffs caused by paper sleeve (an odd very faint scuff seen under strong light) , or played once or twice only and still as new. EX+   Played a few times and a few very light scuffs visible under strong light. M- and EX+ often translated to a grade of Near Mint EX    Record played carefully, very clean surface, minimum scuffing. A very clean record. Labels are clean. EX-    A grade slightly down from EX because of obvious light scuffs and perhaps an odd few light scratches. VG+  Over-all reasonable condition but more significant scuffing or light scratches are visible. VG    Very good condition. A record with scuffing or signs of groove wear but no bad scratches. VG-   A grade slightly below VG G       Good. A well played record with plenty of scuffs and groove wear. F        Fair. Record playable but heavily scuffed with a lot of surface noise. P        Poor.  Record has significant scratches and may skip or jump when played.

I'm intrigued by the duet vocals on this ... I really can't tell. Some web sites I found say that they both sing on this.  Here's a youtube of it to form your own opinion:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83Dw-7plhU8
