HIGHLY REGARDED and popular British blues rock band fronted by the twin lead vocals of Elkie Brooks and Robert Palmer. Music is a tough selection of gritty urban rock with all the period acoutments and non of the pretense. The vocals are really quite exceptional with Robert Palmer easily outgunning Brooks by a country mile. In addition, Palmer is also the chief songwriter, responsible for a goodly brace of tough guy rockers and some sensitive ballards. Nice guitar work too from Pete Gage.

Sadly, despite a lot of good will, much promotional effort and two further albums the band failed to break through, splitting the following year in 1973.
