Description
This is a vintage first pressing Stereo vinyl LP by the one and only Aretha Franklin entitled " Aretha Now " Atlantic SD 8186. This 1968 album features ten (10) tracks in all including awesome renditions of " I Say A Little Prayer ", " You Send Me " and " Hello Sunshine ".
CONDITION of VINYL: The shiny vinyl with the original blue & green labels shows few signs of past use or handling. On close inspection, we note just a very few superficial scratches or scuffs. We have test played the entire record and have found the playback to be smooth and most pleasing. We conservatively rate the vinyl's condition as Excellent (EX). Included is the original Atlantic Records Catalogue inner sleeve that depicts in color 108 LP covers of the day.
CONDITION of JACKET: The outer jacket is still in the opened original shrink wrap (with store price sticker affixed). We do note that the bottom edge corners of the shrink wrap have peeled a little and over time from storage and handling some softening of the those corners and the bottom seam has occurred (see photo). The jacket cover photo is great and would make a nice candidate to frame if one is so inclined. The back cover is very clean and includes some extensive and informative liner notes by Jack Springer of The Swinger ,WCHD-FM, Detroit, Michigan. The jacket side spine in still in very tight shrink wrap and very legible (no cracking here). Overall, we rate the overall condition of this outer jacket to be a solid Very Good Plus (VG+). A new heavy poly slip-on outer sleeve is included to help preserve this 50 year-old gem for future generations to enjoy !
The vinyl within the inner sleeve will be separated from outer jacket. A heavy duty LP record mailer will be used with inserts and ample bubble wrap. Never a packing charge.
