When you first examine your album, I hope and believe you will say "Now this is a guy that took care of his albums."
This album was played in full prior to listing, and has been accurately graded for sound quality.
Will be shipped inside a moisture-proof plastic sleeve between oversized sheets of clean sturdy cardboard. The cardboard will be tightly taped together, to prevent the vinyl from moving during shipment and slitting the inner/outer sleeves. This will then be wrapped in shipping paper and sent Media Mail. We have had great success with this method, and should insure a safe arrival. If you have a cranky delivery person or other concerns about delivery, share them with us and we can take extra precautions. Expedited delivery available upon request - expense to be born by buyer.
Some important comments about grading and condition.
We have a large vintage vinyl LP collection that we would like to begin to distribute to fellow audiophiles via selling on Ebay. We have discovered however, that there is a small unsavory element of buyers on Ebay.
Said buyers have a strategy of purchasing an LP with the intent to RENEGOTIATE price once they claim to have played it. We have heard ALL the pitches:
1) As a purchaser I use the XYZ classification system and so I don’t agree with YOUR grade
2) When viewed under strong light, the album has swirls, lines, etc so I don’t agree with YOUR grade
3) The cover as photographed hides some (minor) imperfections so I don’t agree with YOUR grade
4) Just give me a reduction equal to the cost of return postage and we’ll call it square.
Let us state as clearly as we can, THERE WILL BE NO PRICE REDUCTIONS. If you don’t agree with our grade, you can RETURN the LP in a TIMELY manner, WELL PACKAGED like how we sent it to you. If you do not, and it is damaged during the return, your refund will be reduced accordingly.
Our LP grade is determined by how the album SOUNDS. If you are looking for an LP that looks unplayed, put Near Mint in your search box and pay THAT price. We photograph all sides of the LP and all panels of the album cover, gatefold and inserts under strong light. We make every attempt to honestly disclose the condition. If you are looking for an LP that appears unhandled, again look elsewhere.
In summary if your strategy is to attempt to extort a price reduction from us, it will fall on deaf ears, and you will have instead the time and effort and cost of the return, and the risk that it might be damaged during the return. Best to just move on to someone else’s copy on Ebay.
