Description

This is a rare original copy of Miles Davis All Star Sextet/Quintet with Milt Jackson Prestige HI FI LP 7034. It has the early brown colorized fence background and the 447 West 50th Street, New York address. Both sides are 1950's modern Jazz and Be Bop classics with top musician Davis leading the charge with Milt Jackson on vibes, Jackie McLean on alto, Percy Heath Bass, Ray Bryant on piano and Arthur Taylor on drums. Even played on a basic demo turntable this recording is super loud, punchy, crisp, and clear and features Davis distinct Trumpet tones, Jackson's swinging Vibes, in-control drums, strong upright bass, magnificent piano tones and hot horn lines. It is another winner that I am listing this week and a must have for any heavy Miles Davis fan or Prestige Records label collector looking for this very hard to find LP. The labels are superb and bright yellow and have no paper loss and the print is bold and solid. The vinyl is very clean with only a few very light scratches and blemishes from light play wear that do not affect the sound quality in any way. These two sides also have very minimal if any surface noise. The cover is in excellent condition with only slight corner and edge wear with only one slight nick at the left front bottom and little wear otherwise. The high gloss protective covering on top has is in great shape and there are no rips tears or other damages to the cover. The spine is fully intact and secure with only two slight scrapes. The back has some very faint ring wear and the original owners name stamped once on the top and the original price tag off to the side with one tiny stain mark at the bottom. This rare bird is in amazing condition for it's age and content and I would rate the cover at excellent the Vinyl appearence at VG+ with only very light wear. I am not a professional grader so I am being very very conservative in my opinion but I have this priced this one fairly according to it's rarity and condition. Please see all photos for an exact description of this item and please check out all of my Unique Antique items and other great Jazz Lp's I will be listing this week. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
