Description

Well, I'm back again with a record sale after about seven years. I don't want to part with these precious things but times are tough, and the rent has to be paid. So, here goes....

JOHNNY DODDS BLACK BOTTOM STOMPERS/BILL BROWN'S BROWNIES
VOCALION 1128

A: MELANCHOLY / B: BILL BROWN'S BLUES

GRADE: VG+

Two rare Jazz classics on both sides. Slight scuffs and scratches, looks E-/VG+ borderline but is a very grainy pressing and plays somewhat noisily. Not reflective of the condition which is VG+ and somewhat lustrous but the noisy pressings of many Vocalions of this period (for example, Duke's early Vocalions, some E- copies of which sound like sandpaper!)

Note: THERE ARE NO EDGE BITES IN SPITE OF APPEARANCES. I will put up new pictures very shortly.

Comes with original "Race Record" sleeve, but sleeve is in poor condition. The whole thing is preserved in a plastic slip.

SHIPPING AND PACKAGING

All records will be well packed with Styrofoam peanuts and/or newspaper, sandwiched between cardboard pieces to prevent damage. I have been selling and shipping 78s off and on since 2003 and have had no breakage in transit.

PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN SEVEN (7) DAYS FROM PURCHASE.
PLEASE WAIT FOR CORRECT INVOICE BEFORE SENDING PAYMENT.
