Italian pressing, Nuova Idea MD 230 (~1974)

Top rare Italian library by the unknown composer Fernando Marucci, obscure baroque funk, semi classical, with weird scat vocals and loads of sinister cello and strings with heavy drums, hip-hop beats and some open breaks. The most similar thing to David Axerlod's Holy Thursady and something Dj Shadow would have gladly sampled back in the days. Just listen to the recorded clips as record is killer, featuring the amazing hip-hop beats of ESTATE ANTICA, the incredible medieval baroque jazz VENDEMMIA (with superb muted trumpet), the angelic female scat vocals of the perfect beat laden FORESTA INDIANA, the evil cello of DANZA DELLE CENERI (with dark jazz intro and mad free jazz interlude), the hip-hop beats of ALI VERDI, the David Axelrod open breaks of MARCIA DEL SOLDATO and so on... Listen!
