The jacket states that this is a concert performance from 1945; later research has demonstrated that in fact it comes from 1943. Vox obtained concert tapes of this and the Franck Symphony without authorization from Furtwangler, who sued and had the LP's quickly suppressed. A VERY scarce item - one of the rarest of Furtwangler issues!
The record is in remarkably fine condition, given that it was issued in 1951 and probably had no inner sleeve to protect it for years. There are six ticks from a pressing blemish early in the first movement; otherwise it shows only the slight degree of surface "presence" which is typical of a fine pressing from that early time. The jacket is in fine condition (see photo).

Each additional LP sent Media Mail in the U.S. adds only $1.50 to shipping cost; each extra LP shipped by First Class Mail overseas adds only $4.00 per disc. All parcels are insured.
FOREIGN SHIPPING DETAILS: All shipping fees include insurance. The fee quoted for foreign shipping ($24.00 for a single record) applies to all countries except Canada. For Canadian shipments, shipping a single disc costs $18.00. For all foreign countries, the shipping cost for each additional record shipped in the same parcel is $4.00. Buyer is responsible for any and all customs charges which may apply to his or her country.
EXPEDITED SHIPPING: Shipping in the U.S. is via insured Media Mail. Overseas, shipping is via First Class International Mail (usless the parcel weighs more than four pounds, in which case it goes via International Priority Mail. If you wish expedited shipment of your parcel, please send me a message and I will calculate the costs on an individual basis.
