PLEASE NOTE THIS ITEM SOLD IN DECEMBER BUT AFTER SOME DISCUSSIONS I AGREED TO HAVE IT RETURNED AS THE BUYER SAID IT HAD MANY SURFACES SCRATCHES AND CRACKLES. I HAD RATED THE SOUND AS 8 OUT OF 10 BUT THE BUYERSAID MORE LIKE 5. I STILL CANT AGREE THAT LOW AND SO AM RATING IT A 6 OUT OF TEN BUT I STILL THINK 7-8. I SOLD 12 RECORDS ALL OF SIMILAR SOUND AND SURFACE SCRATCHING AS THIS ONE AND 11 OF THEM I GOT SUPER FEEDBACK.(Please check my feed back on Vinyl for december and January.). SO I AM RATING IT NOW AS A LOW 6 AND WILL NOT ACCEPT A FURTHER RETURN OF IT. ITS 40 YEARS OLD AND MY RATING IS FOR A SINGLE OF THAT ERA WELL USED BUT VERY RARE.
I am reluctantly selling some of my rare sixties Psychedelic 7 inch singles. I was a crazy Flower Power Hippy in the sixties and bought stuff my friends had never heard off,(and probably still have'nt, or ever will !!).Working in a "Record Bar" in the Co- op on Saturdays I had chance to order really obscure stuff for the time. All the singles I bought were first releases and of course original. Approaching 60 now !! I no longer have the need for my Hippy collection, God how time flies.This particular single was a one favourite.This is a nice rare one by The Fire and is "My Fathers Name is Dad/ Treacle Toffe World. SOUND BRILLIANT REALLY LOAD.It is on the Decca Lable with original cover. Unfortunately my younger sister used to nick my music so I would put my name on the Disc , the cover or both. as is the case here.I have checked the sound quality today and it has the usual crackles and pops in the , but it is 1967.On scale of 1-10 FOR ITS AGE I would give it 6. PLEASE BEAR IN MIND IT IS A SIXTIES RECORD.But sounds really sixties and great.However I have sold several of my singles over the years and I am told I am a bit over critical of sound Quality.It is a rare item and deserves to be preserved forever. I hope it goes to a good home.PLEASE NOTE I CAN ACCEPT RETURNS ON RECORS AS ONE OF INFERIOR QULITY MIGHT BE RETURNED AS A SWAP OUT. But I have sold several of my records over the last few years and I am told I am to critical with my sound judgement. PLEASE CHECK MY 100% FEEDBACK ON ALL KINDS OF ITEMS INCLUDING OLD SINGLES.
