Description
The Beatles
With The Beatles
RARE PRESSING
Inbetween 2nd and 3rd pressing
Very Rarely Seen
"DOMION" typo too....
This was the Beatles' second official release, following their hugely popular Please Please Me. This record was released on the 30th November 1963 and went to the number 1 position (knocking of their own Please Please Me lp) on the 7th of December. Staying at number 1 for 21 weeks! As a little note: they had already sold 250,000 copies before the release and so accepted a silver disc BEFORE release!
Catalogue number: PCS 3045
Matrix Numbers Side 1: YEX 110-2
Matrix Numbers Side 2: YEX 111-2
Mothers/Stampers Side 1: GO @ 3 O'clock 3 @ 9 O'clock
Mothers/Stampers Side 2: GO @ 3 O'clock 3 @ 9 O'clock
**WOW-very unusual to have the same mothers/stampers to both sides**
Vinyl:
QUALITY 151g
VG-. I have just listened to the WHOLE record without any jumps or skips!
Visually she is lightly marked..BUT as stated-
NO SKIPS/JUMPS
GORGEOUS heavy original vinyl.
GREAT RAW SOUND...IN STEREO!!
There is background noise throughout and the occasional pop...certainly LESS than I thought there would be!
A proffessional clean and she'll sound EVEN BETTER!
Let's not forget how RARE this pressing is.
Labels:
VG-
1st printing run.
Lovely clear text...But there is a small name in black ink to side 1-difficult to spot-see if you can see it in the detailed images provided...
AND CLICK ON THEM FOR LARGER, MORE DETAILED IMAGES.
Central hole wear, as you can see in the images.
Outer text "The Parlophone Co."
No "Sold In" text.
NOW HERE IS THE VERY UNUSUAL BIT:
The 1st pressings had the rather common 'Jobette' credit for Money.
The 2nd pressings corrected this and replaced with 'Dominion Belinda'
NOW, inbetween these lies this pressing...
She carries the last line of text:
Gordy) Dominion. Belinda (Ldn) Ltd. NCB
BUT
Also carries the spelling mistake: 'DOMION Mus. NCB' for track 3 credit.
VERY MIXED UP AND VERY UNUSUAL
(I had one of these copies 9 years ago and sold her for £250 privately...I have not seen one since)
These labels were quickly corrected and recalled, making this an increasingly rare copy.
Have a look at your own copy and reference it with the images and info above-I'll bet you don't have one of these strange pressings!
Cover: Poor-.Torn and ripped...As can be seen in the images provided-hence the low starting price.
"You Really Gotta Hold On Me" misprint track listing.
PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES PROVIDED AND CLICK ON THEM FOR LARGER IMAGES, WITH MORE DETAIL.
(ALSO FEEL FREE TO READ MY FEEDBACK, FROM HAPPY CUSTOMERS)
Inner: G. ORIGINAL "Use EMITEX" inner, with the tracing paper lining.
Splits throughout.
Does carry the very early: "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" text to the bottom left corner.
WELL FOLKS, THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST UNUSUAL PRESSINGS OF THIS RECORD.
NOT MANY PEOPLE WILL HAVE THIS PRESSING
