Description

On offer today, a very good plus copy of the 1971 UK Stereo 12" Vinyl Lp by Van Der Graaf Generator titled "Pawn Hearts" on the Mad Hatter Charisma label. The LP comes with its original lyric insert. It is in very good plus condition overall.

Side 1 condition:

Side 1 plays through well with no jumps or sticks. There is some very light background noise here and there, during quieter sections, but the quality of the playback still remains wonderful with an infrequent amount of background noise. 8.5/10.

The surface and shine of the vinyl is very good plus with very few light hairlines on the surface. 8.5/10

The Charisma label on side 1 is in excellent condition, 8.5/10, with very little evidence of surface wear and only a couple of light spider trails around the centre hole. The text is excellent with no fading and only a little bit of discolouration.

Side 2 condition:

Side 2 plays through very well with a little background noise throughout but no sticks or jumps. The transition from each song is excellent, there is very little in the way og background noise. 8.5/10.

The very good plus shine and surface of the vinyl on side 2 is equal to that as described on side 1. There are only a few light lines and it is beautifully clean with no grease marks or dirt. 8.5/10

The Charisma label on side 2 is also in excellent condition, 8.5/10. There is very little discolouration or fading evident and only a couple of light spider trails. The text remains visually strikingly bold with no obvious fading.

The original lyric insert is in excellent condition with only minor wear and discolouration.

The inner sleeve is in very good plus condition with no fading, no tears, no seam splits very light creasing and some light discolouration. 8/10.

The gatefold outer sleeve is in very good condition overall with a bit of wear the main front and rear panel and with some perimeter wear also. The credits on the spine have very little fading to the text, but there is some wear on the word "Graaf". 7/10.
