title: Are You Serious?
company: 1977 Big Sound Records, BSLP-019
description: Now considered one of the great lost/unacknowledged power pop albums of the late Seventies. Van Duren was a player in the Memphis power pop scene and a contemporary of Big Star. This was his only album until the release of his sophomore LP in 1999. He is the subject of the 2018 documentary Waiting: The Van Duren Story. Thoughtful songwriting and catchy pop rock tunes. Original pressing on the independent, New York-based Big Sound label. This auction ends Wednesday, March 25th at 7:12 PM (ET). Free economy shipping in the U.S.
condition: VG/VG. Cover and record are both strong VG. Cover has a seem split half way across the top seem. Some wear along the bottom seem as well. Otherwise some light ring wear and minor wear on corners. Record is also a strong VG. Record has retained luster with some light surface wear, not so much scratches, but maybe more storage wear. Both sides play great with minor surface noise. High resolution pictures and sound clips are provided.
Listen to sound clips in the player below. Sound clips are made from this actual copy of the record.
