THE COVER IS STILL IN THE ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP WITH THE ORIGINAL "ROLLING STONES" PRICE STICKER STILL AFFIXED.
GOOD LUCK FINDING AN OPENED COPY OF THE FIRST PRESSING WITH THE 4'S MISPRINT THAT IS STILL IN THE ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP! THIS COVER DOES NOT AGE WELL, BUT THIS ONE HAS BEEN PRESERVED IN PLASTIC LO THESE MANY YEARS!
AS A BONUS I HAVE INCLUDED A Black & White PHOTOCOPY OF THE VERY RARE ORIGINAL HYPE STICKER FROM THE FIRST U.S. PRESSING. I like to add a PHOTOCOPY of the hype sticker, if I have it, as an added bonus as they are usually discarded and are hard to find.
Up for sale is one(1) Van Halen - Self Titled Debut LP from 1978 on Warner Bros. Records (#BSK 3075). THIS IS A TRUE FIRST PRESSING. This is the misprint label version with the number 4 listed twice on Side 1. There is No Barcode.
THIS IS THE SUPER RARE VERSION WITH THE LABEL MISPRINT WITH side 1 tracks being listed as 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5 instead of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
PLAY TESTED! I RECENTLY PLAYED THIS LP AND IT SOUNDS AWESOME, ESPECIALLY CRANKED UP!
The Vinyl is in Very Good+ condition, but has some visual surface marks that may cause surface noise typical with a Very Good+ grading. Even with a Very Good+ grading there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. More noticible during the quiet parts.
Nice clean labels with minor spindle marks.
The cover is still in the original plastic shrink wrap and is in Very Good+ condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, creases, crumples, and ring wear. There are no split seams.
This cover typically doesn't age well, but this one is in Very Good+ shape.
The custiom inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition with wear typical with age including, but not limited to corner dings, creases, crumples, scrapes, and ring wear. There is just the very begining of small sized split seam on 1 side.
The LP is now in a plain white sleeve.
I obtained this LP in the 1970s. It was gently played back in the day(I had other copies, this one was given the kid gloves trearment). Has not been played in over 30 years. It has been in storage ever since.
