Up for sale our two of my favorite vinyl albums growing up--- Van Halen I and II. My brother introduced me to this group in the early 1980s. They freaking rock. I played these albums quite a bit but took very good care of them. Then inspired by Marty McFly in Back to the Future ("PLAY IT LOUD!")-- I made cassette tapes of them and stored the albums away until now. Tapes got replaced by CDs but I always held on to the albums. They are nice and sound great. I had a tendency to write my initials on my albums but was not able to find where I might have done this on these-- fair warning (no pun intended) in case you find some.

While inspecting the albums, I noticed a small spot that is on the same place on both sides of Van Halen II. I was concerned this might impact how it plays (it is on both of the first songs of each side). I did not noticed any skipping or very bad pops etc - It may just be a blemish-- not sure but it did not appear to impact play. Perhaps cleaning would remove this. (spots circled - see last picture).

While at first I was just concerned about whether the album was still functional, I ended up rocking out to the entire album by the end. It plays well and despite the spots and needing a cleaning-- it still has legs. I did not get around to playing Van Halen I but visual inspection of that one showed it to be in excellent condition.

So while I found nothing actually wrong about the albums-- I am conservatively grading these out at a VG+. The Van Halen I is more like EX to me but better to err on the side of caution.

As for the condition of the sleeve and inner sleeve-- they look to be  in decent shape with the typical bumps and bruises. I did note some ring wear on #1 as well as some seam splitting on an edge of the inner sleeve. But overall -- these are in nice, presentable and playable shape. PLEASE review the pictures to get the full picture of the condition.

I am selling them together because they should stay together in my opinion.

I am always willing to combine shipping when possible. You just need to request a revised invoice after committing to multiple items. LP is removed from cover/inner sleeve and wrapped in lightweight paper (or sometimes newspaper) separately for shipping to help prevent any seam splitting. I have developed a method of shaping cardboard specifically for shipping albums to withstand brutal delivery conditions, including wrapping the media mail package in heavy plastic. It is kind of a process for me but I haven't had any complaints from those receiving my packages.
