This is a super rare item in the original, unopened packaging and original outer mailing box. I will ship in an outer box to preserve everything. The first pictures are the actual item. The other pictures are stock photos. There is additional paperwork inside the sealed box. You can find additional stock photos online. I assume that all the items inside are in mint to near mint condition. If the sealed box is opened, it cannot be returned for any reason.
It's a 6 LP set from The Source/NBC. They were only issued to NBC affiliates for airplay for Memorial Day weekend, May 25-28, 1984 and featured Van Halen songs from the debut through 1984. The show was hosted by David Lee Roth, himself. As with all the productions of this era, it contains interview segments and amazing stories, commercials, and songs from other artists like The Kinks, Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, and Bruce Springsteen. Since there's an open set in the archives, check out the photos of the cue sheets. And, because you're getting the sealed never opened, never played, never even looked at real deal, there's even that cool affidavit card that stations were supposed to complete. (Are you have 1984 flashbacks yet? You will want to put away all those devices you've acquired since 1984 and just groove on the sound that got you dancing then and will never lose its cool!
Great piece of Van Halen history. Dave is in classic form with stories in between tacks. This isn't just the Dave show, as we get stories and jokes from Eddie as well. The track list is nothing short of a hits collection from each album from VH through 1984.
