VAN MORRISON Astral Weeks (CDN) WB 1768
This is a 1968 original Canadian Warner Brothers pressing of Van Morrison's 2nd studio solo release, "Astral Weeks". Hippy music for the ages. Features a rhythm section of Richard Davis and Connie Kay (arguably accounting for the fantastic overall sound of this lp). Influenced quite a few songwriters, from what I gather. Pretty rare as an original Canadian release (in this condition).
Dead Wax Info: Side 1 has 39435 WS 1768 A - 1B all etched into the dead wax. Side 2 has 39436 WS 1768 B - 1B etched into the dead wax. There is also a small o etched into the dead wax of both sides.
Vinyl Visual Grade: VG+/NM with great gloss and 2 light spindle lines only. Labels show minimal (maybe 1 or 2) plays.
Vinyl Play Grade: NM with GREAT fidelity and about as good a play as you will find of this pressing.
Cover Visual Grade: VG or better on this heavy, paste-over single sleeve cover with moderate ring wear and some rubbing wear, most noticeable on the lighter coloured back. Signature in ball-point rear cover. Spine and seams and corners are good with mild wear. All in all nice except for the ring wear.
Comes with non-original white die-cut paper inner which I have lined with a rice-style plastic Audiophile inner.

ALL records will have been visually inspected under BRIGHT incandescent light with extreme scrutiny.
ALL open records will have been play graded using a Thorens TD 165 turntable and Yamaha amplifier (JBL reference headphones). Treble set high so nothing will be hidden in my grades. My grading is as follows:
M or Mint - NOT USED as there is no such thing as perfection.
NM or Near Mint - No significant markings - sealed or RARELY played.
VG+ - Minimal marking - none of which significantly affects fidelity of lp.
VG - Minimal to modest marking which affects lp but not to the point of distraction.
G - Modest marking but still VERY listenable, depending on your ears.
I WILL NOT SELL ANY LP AT LESS THAN G UNLESS THERE IS SIGNIFICANT HISTORICAL VALUE ATTACHED TO THE LP.
ALL COVERS WILL HAVE DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS OF ALL FLAWS.
I USE PROPER RECORD MAILERS WITH STIFFENERS AND PADDED CORNERS. I HAVE BOUGHT TOO MANY RECORDS ON EBAY WITH DINGED CORNERS FROM INSUFFICIENT PACKAGING. BY PADDING THE CORNERS WITH FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP (WHICH I DO) , YOU CAN BE SURE OF RECEIVING AN LP WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE CORNERS.
