Van Morrison - Astral Weeks

(Warner Bros WS 1768 UK LP 1968)

This is a 2nd UK LP pressing from 1970. It still has a 1st press sleeve variant. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve & comes with its original polythene lined company inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has green "Warner Bros" labels. It has A-2/ B-2 matrix stampers. These are the next best thing to orange label UK 1st pressings. It still has a flipback sleeve & distribution is still via Pye Records. These are not that common either.



Sleeve: There is some light or mild laminate creases on the front. There is some light ringwear. There is some light rubbing wear to the corner tips. VG++ condition

Vinyl: There are some light to very mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are about 7-8 light, in the main, hairline marks. These measure from 1 cm to 5 cm in length. VG condition. The labels are in VG++ condition & show mild to more moderate spindle wear. The company inner sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light to very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG to VG+ overall. There is some light or mild crackle in some quieter places. There are a couple of light clicks on three separate tracks on Side 1 & on one track on Side 2.
