Description

This is a cutout of Van Morrison's first solo album. The cutout is denoted by a hole punch just to the left of Van's eyebrow on the cover. I'm really up in the air as to whether this is the original release or a re-release from 1973, but I see no reason to believe it is not the earlier release. If anyone has a way for me to check, let me know. This is a mono version of the album. The vinyl has been played - by me - but I don't see any problems at all. I thought there might be an issue with some bumps in the vinyl which I've seen on other albums, so I played one of the tracks with the bump and it didn't affect play at all. And I don't even have that great of a turntable. The cover notoriously ugly, but it is in good shape. A few scuffs on the edges and that's about it. The final oddity is the on the left top of the back cover it says BLB 218, but on the lower right corner of the front cover and on the disk label it says BLP-218. Very sloppy, but who knows, maybe all this messiness with enhance its value. All I know is that I listened to this album many times over and I'm so glad it is in good condition so I can pass it on to be appreciated by someone else. NOTE!!!! As I was putting the vinyl back in the sleeve, I realized that there is about a 4" split on the bottom of the jacket on the open end. Just want to be sure you know. Still sturdy, but definitely worth noting.
