JB PICKERS - "VANISHING POINT" - RARE JAP FUNK 7”!!!

Three reasons for buying this. A) it’s got the funk; B) the front of the packging, and C) the back of the bloody packaging! Forget the slightly hard to find LP – “Super Soul Theme” is the killer track from that decidedly average record, and it’s lavishly presented here.

This release has some of the best 7” cover art ever – a beautiful double gatefold, the front panels serving up a sexy photo-montage, and the reverse displaying further photo-montage action with some erratically scribbled notes. Reminiscent of those Toshio Nakanishi sleeves for Pussyfoot releases. If anyone remembers those.

On London label, TOP 1623 from 1971. B side is “Nobody Knows” by Kim & Dave (where’s Sam ?).

GRADING:

RECORD is EX-, few light marks, plays great.
