Shrek - Music from the Original Motion Picture (25th Anniversary Limited Edition "Swamp Juice" Green Liquid-Filled Vinyl)
When Shrek arrived in 2001, its soundtrack helped define the film’s offbeat personality from the opening moments. Mixing pop-rock, alt-rock, playful covers, and unexpectedly tender ballads, the album became inseparable from the movie’s mix of sharp humor and real heart. Twenty-five years later, these songs still feel tied to the world of Shrek, from the swamp to Far Far Away and everywhere in between.
This 25th anniversary edition of the Shrek soundtrack is a Swamp Juice liquid-filled LP. It's a pressing worthy of the film’s gloriously weird legacy, turning one of the most recognizable animated film soundtracks of the 2000s into a special-edition release made for fans and collectors alike.
Of Note: I purchased 2 copies of this soundtrack, the one shown opened is mine, you will get a sealed copy unless you prefer one out of covers and inspected which would come with additional archival sleeves!
The soundtrack brings together the songs that helped make Shrek unmistakable, including Smash Mouth’s “All Star” and “I’m a Believer,” Rufus Wainwright’s “Hallelujah,” Eels’ “My Beloved Monster,” and much more. It is funny, nostalgic, and surprisingly emotional, just like the film itself.
