Description
Various Artists "The Jazz Scene" Clef Records JS1 and JS2, two-LP box set, mono 10". Produced by Norman Granz, and after some research I can only narrow the release year to sometime between 1950 and 1953. Contents:

The box is still shiny on the front, with some scuff, the bottom is perfectly intact, original brown paper sleeves, but the sides and corners are just shot. I have to rate it poor and hope someone is willing to do a restoration. Vinyl on the other hand is very good. There are some nasty scratches, but weirdly, they're on the run outs, not on the music. The rest is visually really nice and playing back quietly, with only some light crackle, and only here and there. Noted defects get you a great price for some rare media. Just cleaned with a VPI wet-vac system. I'll pay the shipping via USPS Media Mail.
