Description

This is part of a large auction featuring blues, R&B and doo-wop, all from Chicago-based labels. There is a lot of great stuff here from many Chicago artists including Little Walter, Muddy Waters and other forefathers of the genre with few bonus listings as well.

Here's the info on this item:

Release: The Dells - Q-Bop She-Bop / A Distant Love

Format: 45 rpm 7" single

Year: 1957

Notes: White label promo first pressing. Early single by this group who formed as the El-Rays outside of Chicago and later adopted the name The Dells. Two cool tracks here, definitely more in soul vein that straight up R&B. Great vocals on both though.

Vinyl Condition: VG+, Vinyl itself is in nice shape and super-clean with almost no wear at all, just a couple of very feint marks. It plays well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. Labels are very nice, with no tears or stickers. One side does have partially wiped off X's, put there to indicate plug side. This is a really nice copy overall.

All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. Check back in a couple of weeks for another new genre auction: dance records from the 70's to the early 2000's.

I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.

I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item.  If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
