Velvet Underground & Nico Andy Warhol Reattached Banana

About This Record.  This is a second pressing of The Velvet Underground & Nico’s LP entitled Andy Warhol on Verve Records USA VG-5008 in Stereo with peeled and reattached banana on cover that remains largely intact!  This does NOT have the torso visible in the back cover.  NICE vinyl and hard to find largely intact banana! 

Importantly, this is the 3rd label (I think).  This is the blue Verve Records label, but it has "Manufactured by MGM Records, Inc.l, 7165 Sunset Boulevard, Holywood, Calif. 90046 around the bottom middle part of the perimeter of the label.  The label is a darker shade of blue than the first pressings, and the second pressings.  See all my photos please.

Cover Condition.  Strong VG+, close to EX-  See photos! Banana has been peeled and reattached; most of it remains except for the top part. Strong spine; one half inch split top right gatefold cover; some stains on cover, light cover wear and corner wear, a few dings in seams; small ¼ inch black marker mark on back cover; very light ring wear.  Better than most covers I’ve seen and the Banana looks cool this way! 

Vinyl Condition.  Strong EX+.  Plays same to Near Mint NO problems.  Keeper!

Label Condition.  Near Mint.  Blue Verve USA label; second pressing of label and cover.  SEE PHOTOs!

Inner Sleeve.  The original paper innersleeve is included although this record will come housed in nice new rice paper innersleeves because I just cleaned them on my VPI Record machine

About Me.  I have been a Record Collector for over 35 years.  With one kid now in college, I often sell records so I can buy more vinyl! Read my Feedback! Common LPs are a waste of your time and mine!    I bought this many years ago during my travels and have kept in well preserved.  This comes in a new rice paper equivalent sleeve, and new 3 or 4 mil plastic sleeve.
